Height : 5'2
About Me: Everything happens for a reason and for the best. I am very positive about life, myself and people around me. Back home, I completed my SLC at HIMS and topped the school results with distinction. Currently, I am a 2ndyear BSc Optometry student at Aston University. Alongside studies, I play from Aston Basketball team and I am a sports secretary of Aston Optics society. Besides, I have a part-time job at Vision Express.
I am a driver and not just a passenger; I have taken every opportunity such as this, to drive forward as a leader. Previously, I captained Wembley girls basketball team and I was a deputy head girl of WHTC. One of my long-term plans is to follow footsteps of Dr. Ruit and lead a team to carry out free eye tests in rural areas of Nepal.
We can’t go on for long with closed fists. I believe in both giving and taking, which is only possible with free open hands. Oxfam, British Red Cross, Kith and Kids and Sudbury Neighbourhood Centre are some of the organizations that I have given my time as a volunteer. It’s a rewarding feeling and a great learning experience too.
I try to use my leisure time productively. Quite often, I sing at cultural and charity events. I love travelling and meeting new people. Also, I am fond of adrenaline rush activities like bungee jumping and adventures of rock climbing. Therefore, I undertook Duke of Edinburgh Silver award mission in Dartmoor. I enjoy writing blogs, customizing clothes and making DIY videos. If you are keen, you can check my work at www.inspiredkk.com and www.
Reason for participation: I am passionate about Nepal and my countrymen; hence I have always contributed in my own possible way. I hope to inspire and get inspired from beautiful people out there. What more? As I had expected, the training sessions has improved my ability to deal with varied range of people and finding a right balance. So, it’s a win-win.
